Resurrection RSC has all eighteen skills of the original RuneScape Classic and adds three more: Runecraft, Gathering and Slayer. Every skill trains at the server experience rates (10× combat / 5× skilling) rate with no fatigue, most repeat by themselves through batched skilling, and nearly every original skill has gained new content of its own. Reaching level 99 in a skill unlocks its skill cape.

Custom skills
* Runecraft
* Gathering
* Slayer

Original skills with enhancements
* Combat - Attack, Strength, Defense and Hits
* Magic
* Prayer
Skill capes
Skill capes can be bought for 99,000 coins from the master of each skill at level 99, and most give a perk while worn. See Skill capes for the full list, where to buy them and what they do.

Resurrection RSC adds a long list of new settings for customising how the game looks, sounds and plays – from scaling the whole window up for modern monitors to labelling every item on the ground. It also adds new ways to keep in touch with other players: server-wide announcements, global chat, an online list, clans and parties. This page explains every option and how to use them.

Settings
Hover over the wrench icon, the leftmost of the icons in the top-right corner, to open the settings panel. Click the heading to switch between the Social and General tabs, and use the mouse wheel to scroll. The Android app has a third Android tab.

Most settings are saved to your account, so they follow you between computers. Scaling and Stack Tooltips are saved on the computer you are playing on instead.

New settings
These settings are new to Resurrection RSC.

Sound rare drop
A special sound plays when you receive a rare drop. Sound rare drop lets you keep that sound while every other sound effect is muted: switch Sound effects off, and the Sound rare drop option appears beneath it. It is on by default. With sound effects on, the rare drop sound simply plays along with everything else.

The sound plays for:
* The drops that are announced to the whole server – see rare drops below
* Valuable drops: a half of a key, either half of the dragon square shield, a dragonstone, a rune spear, a dragon medium helmet, a large dragon helmet, a dragon 2-handed sword, dragon plate mail legs or an uncut shadowstone
* A boss pet item dropping

This option resets to on each time you start the game.

Ground Items
Filters which items are drawn on the ground. Each click moves to the next mode.

Mode !! What you see
Show ALL || Everything. This is the default.
Hide ALL || No ground items at all
Only Bones || Only bones, big bones, bat bones and dragon bones
No Bones || Everything except those four kinds of bones
No Ashes || Everything except ashes

Items hidden by this filter are also left out of Stack Tooltips.

Scaling
Enlarges the whole game window, for high resolution monitors. It is available on the PC client only. Use the [ - ] and [ + ] buttons beside Scaling to change the size.

Scaling type chooses how the picture is enlarged:
* Integer – whole steps only (1x, 2x, 3x ...), keeping every pixel perfectly sharp. This is the default.
* Bilinear and Bicubic – smoothed scaling in half steps, from 1x up to 4x.

The largest size offered depends on how big your screen is.

Stack Tooltips
Shows a see-through label over piles of items on the ground, listing everything in the pile as amount × item name with a small icon – so you can see what is on a tile without right-clicking it. It is off by default.

A label appears over any pile of two or more items, and over single items unless they are bones or ashes. The most valuable items are listed first, and the text is coloured by value:

Colour !! Meaning
style="color:#a335ee;" | Purple || Rare and unique items
style="color:#d9534f;" | Red || Worth 10,000 coins or more
style="color:#f0ad4e;" | Orange || Worth 1,000 coins or more
style="color:#b8a000;" | Yellow || Worth 100 coins or more
White || Everything else

Switching Stack Tooltips on reveals more options beneath it:

Option !! Choices !! What it does
Stackables || On / Off || Include stackable items, such as runes, arrows and coins
Non-stackables || On / Off || Include items that do not stack
Wield or wear || On / Off || Include weapons, armour and jewellery
Food or drink || On / Off || Include anything that can be eaten or drunk
Position || Bottom / Top || Whether the label sits below or above the pile
Range || On your tile, or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 tiles || How far from you labels are shown. The default is 4 tiles.
Opacity || 0% to 100%, in steps of 20% || How dark the box behind the text is. At 0% only the text is drawn. The default is 40%.

An item is left out if any category it belongs to is switched off – a sword, for example, is hidden by either Non-stackables or Wield or wear. When some categories are off the setting reads Partial.

General tab
Every option on the General tab, in the order it appears.

Global chat
Global chat lets you talk to everyone on the server at once. There are two ways to use it.

The ::g command
Type
::g
followed by your message:

::g selling 10k rune stones

Everyone sees it as
[General] Player: message
, with your clan tag before your name if you are in one. On the Android app, the on-screen Global button types
::g
for you.

::pk
works in the same way but sends to the separate PKing channel, shown as
[PKing] Player: message
. New accounts have the PKing channel hidden by default.

The Global friend
Every player has a friend called Global$ at the top of their friends list, which always shows as online. Send it a private message and the message goes to everyone instead – simply click Global$ and type as you would to any friend.

* To leave global chat, remove Global$ from your friends list, or type
::toggleglobalchat
.
* To rejoin, add a friend called Global, or type
::toggleglobalchat
again.
*
::gp
shows these messages in your private chat tab, as Player tells [everyone]: message.
::gq
moves them back to the quest tab.
*
::setglobalmessagecolor
followed by a colour code, such as
@gre@
, changes their colour. Use it with no colour to reset.

Rules and restrictions
* Before your first global message you must read and accept the rules. Type
::globalrules
to read them and
::i_agree
to accept.
* There is no level requirement and no delay between messages, but you cannot use global chat while muted or while on Tutorial Island.
* You never see global messages from players on your ignore list.
* Global chat is moderated, and staff can mute players from global chat alone.
*
::gc
shows a summary of all of this in game.

Online list
To see who is online, open the settings panel, go to the Social tab and click Display online list, or type
::onlinelist
. A window opens listing every player online, with crowns marking staff. Right-click a name to add them as a friend, add them to your ignore list or invite them to a party.

*
::online
just shows how many players are online.
* The list respects your Allow private messages setting. Set to Friends, only players on your friends list see you in it; set to Off, nobody does. You are still counted in
::online
.

Clans and parties
Up to 200 players can band together as a clan, with its own name, tag, ranks and a private
::c
chat channel. A party is a smaller temporary group of up to 5, with
::p
chat and optional loot sharing.

See the Clans guide for how to create, join and run one.

Useful commands
Type these into the chat box.
Resurrection RSC is RuneScape Classic as you remember it, with the rough edges taken off. Combat experience comes ten times faster and skilling experience five times faster, there is no fatigue, skills repeat by themselves, and a fee-free auction house, ironman modes and private boss instances have all been added – without changing the heart of the original game. This page summarises everything that is different, with links to the full guides.

At a glance
* 10× combat / 5× skilling experience (quest rewards use the skilling rate)
* No fatigue – you never need to sleep
* Batched skilling – one click repeats an action
* An auction house with no fees
* Ironman, Hardcore Ironman and Ultimate Ironman modes
* Three new skills: Runecraft, Gathering and Slayer
* New bosses and monsters, quests, items and skill capes
* Clans, parties, global chat and an online list – see Settings and social
* Up to 4 accounts logged in at once
* Monsters notice you from 4 tiles away

Guides
* Auction house – buying and selling with other players, even while they are offline
* Ironman – the three self-sufficient game modes and their rules
* Batched skilling – how repeated actions work and what interrupts them
* Settings and social – announcements, global chat, the online list and every option in the settings menu
* Clans – clans and parties

Experience and accounts
* Combat experience is ten times the original rate, skilling experience is five times, and quest rewards use the skilling multiplier. There is no bonus for training in the Wilderness.
* Fatigue is switched off. General stores no longer sell sleeping bags.
* Multi-logging – up to 4 characters can be logged in from the same connection at once. A fifth login is refused. Type
::mppi
to check the limit.
* New accounts are created in the game client, and the tutorial can be skipped by talking to Peter Skippin on Tutorial Island.
* The maximum level in every skill is 99.

Freezing your experience
Because there is no fatigue, sleeping in a bed now toggles your experience gain off and on: "You have DISABLED experience gain!". While it is off you gain no experience at all, which is useful for keeping a combat level or a pure build. Sleep in a bed again to switch it back on.

Quest rewards earned while your experience is frozen are not lost. They are saved as experience scrolls, which you can Reclaim after unfreezing.

Banking
* The bank has a custom interface with swap and insert modes, and room for every item in the game.
* Bank notes – withdraw items as tradeable notes. Old-style certificates are shown as notes, and both can be deposited straight into the bank.
* Right-click a banker to open your bank without talking, or type
::b
while standing in a bank.
* Bank presets save an inventory and equipment layout for one-click withdrawal.
* Bank PINs are optional and are set by talking to a banker.
* Right-click shopkeepers to trade without the conversation.
* Drop X lets you drop a chosen amount of a stackable item.

Bosses
See Enemies and NPCs for the bosses themselves.

Private instances
With the Boss instances slayer unlock (100 points), the lever into a boss's lair offers a private instance – your own copy of the boss for one hour.

Boss !! style="text-align:center;" | Cost
King Black Dragon || style="text-align:center;" | 25,000 coins
Nyrex the infernal || style="text-align:center;" | 50,000 coins
Enraged shadow giant || style="text-align:center;" | 75,000 coins
Valkor || style="text-align:center;" | 200,000 coins, for up to 3 players. No slayer unlock is needed.

* Drops inside an instance are visible only to you, and bosses respawn faster than in the open world.
* You can leave and rejoin while the timer runs. A warning appears with 5 minutes left, after which no more bosses spawn.
* You can only have one instance at a time. Creating a new one ends the old one, and anything left on the ground inside it is lost.
* Wearing a boss's own cape cuts its instance cost by 25%, 50% or 75%, and any combined boss cape makes every instance cost 1,000 coins.
* Typing
::timeleft
will tell you how long your instance has left.

Boss panel
Type
::bosses
to open a window with your fastest kill times, kill counts and progress towards the boss capes.
::kt
followed by a boss name shows your best time for that boss, and adding
chat
says it out loud.

Bad luck mitigation
The dragon 2-handed sword becomes steadily more likely the longer you go without one. After 2,000 King Black Dragon kills without the drop your chance starts to rise, climbing steeply with every further 500 kills until it is close to certain at 5,000. The counter resets when the sword drops.

Boss pets
Each boss can drop an item that unlocks a miniature version of itself as a follower – see Giant scale, Possessed blood vial, Cracked rune and Tainted beard hair.

Combat
* Aggressive monsters attack from 4 tiles away rather than 1. The usual rule still applies that monsters ignore players of more than twice their level.
* Monsters no longer run away when their health is low.
* Players and monsters do not block each other's movement.
* Poisoned weapons can poison monsters, not just players.
* Monsters chase you around obstacles more intelligently.
* A Valuable drop message and the rare drop sound mark notable drops – see sound rare drop.
*
::kc
followed by a monster's name shows how many you have killed.

Potions
* Decanting by hand – use two potions of the same type on each other to combine their doses.
* Remdor in Taverley turns every 1 and 2 dose potion you are carrying into noted 3-dose potions, free of charge. He keeps the spare empty vials as payment.
* The Apothecary in Varrock will empty potions, fill vials with water and make strength potions in bulk, for a fee.
* Many new potions have been added – see Herblaw.

New places and services
Woodcutting Guild || McGrubor's Wood, north of Ardougne, is now a guild with yew and magic trees and a bank chest. The Forester at the gate charges a 1,000 coin toll on every entry and requires level 55 Woodcutting – below that he keeps your coins and still turns you away. McGrubor's chest costs 1,000 coins per use, and his guard dogs are not friendly.
Scot Ruth's tunnel || Scot Ruth sells permanent access to his tunnel for a one-off 200,000 coins. It is a one-way shortcut that comes out deep in the Wilderness, by the chaos altar.
Silicius on Entrana || Blow glass vials while standing in his room and they are handed to you as bank notes, so a whole inventory of molten glass can be worked in one trip.
* Unidentified herbs show which herb they are in their name, and many items and objects have clearer names.
* Player names and clan tags can be shown above heads.
* Better logs give more arrow shafts: 10 from ordinary logs, rising by 5 per tier to 35 from magic logs.
* Joining the halves of a crystal key gives Crafting experience.
* Smithing, crafting and jewellery menus skip straight to the item when there is only one thing you could be making.
* Locked quest areas stay accessible, and quest items can be retrieved, after their quests are finished.

Resurrection RSC is RuneScape Classic as you remember it, with the rough edges taken off. Experience comes five times faster, there is no fatigue, skills repeat by themselves, and a fee-free auction house, ironman modes and private boss instances have all been added – without changing the heart of the original game. This page summarises everything that is different, with links to the full guides.

At a glance
* 10x combat / 5x skilling experience in every skill, including quest rewards

* Experience is five times the original rate for both combat and skilling, and quest rewards are multiplied too. There is no bonus for training in the Wilderness.
* Fatigue is switched off. General stores no longer sell sleeping bags.
* Multi-logging – up to 4 characters can be logged in from the same connection at once. A fifth login is refused. Type
::mppi
to check the limit.

::b
while standing in a bank.

King Black Dragon || style="text-align:center;" | 25,000 coins
Nyrex the infernal || style="text-align:center;" | 50,000 coins
Enraged shadow giant || style="text-align:center;" | 75,000 coins

* Typing
::timeleft
will tell you how long your instance has left.

Boss panel
Type
::bosses
to open a window with your fastest kill times, kill counts and progress towards the boss capes.
::kt
followed by a boss name shows your best time for that boss, and adding
chat
says it out loud.
