A treated hide is a cow hide that has been prepared for tanning over a fire, as an alternative to paying a tanner. This item is exclusive to Resurrection RSC and was not available in the original RuneScape Classic.
Creation[edit]
Use a hammer on a cow hide with animal fat in your inventory. This uses the hide and the fat and gives 12.5 Crafting experience. Animal fat comes from using a knife on raw meat.
Uses[edit]
Use it on a fire or fireplace to turn it into leather, giving 31.25 Crafting experience. Furnaces and ranges are too hot and would ruin it.
